GEUS’ board for 2025-2028 is in place. Katrine Krogh Andersen will be the chairperson.

A new board of directors has been appointed by the Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities for the period 2025-2028 for the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS). The members represent research and business insight within GEUS’ core areas, as stipulated in the GEUS Act.

The board of directors will, among other things, continue to work on GEUS’ strategy for 2024-2027. Read more about GEUS' strategy here.

Katrine Krogh Andersen, who is the chairperson of the Climate Foundation KR Foundation, is the new chairperson of GEUS’ board of directors. She replaces Minik Rosing, professor at the University of Copenhagen.

Katrine Krogh Andersen says:

”GEUS’ research is of crucial importance for Denmark and Greenland’s commitment to solving a wide range of significant global challenges. I am very much looking forward to, together with the rest of the board, further developing the strategic basis for GEUS’ independent research and consultancy and thus the knowledge base for important topics such as underground CO2 storage, geothermal energy, monitoring of Greenland’s ice sheet, climate adaptation and finding mineral raw materials that can support the green transition.”
